🚀 Why this role is different
You’ll be the face and voice of FreightSimple, the first point of contact for new leads, the person who nurtures them into regular customers, and the one who builds real relationships along the way.
When you hear what customers need, our engineering and operations teams actually listen and act on it. You’re not just selling the product, you’re helping shape it.
This is a phone-heavy role (up to 100 calls a day), so you should be comfortable spending your days on the phone and able to work independently in a quiet, focused setting.
You'll have powerful in-house CRM software built specifically for our team, AI tools to research prospects and prep for calls, and a product that solves real problems. Less busywork, more selling.
✨ What you’ll actually do
Win new customers 🤝
- Be the first point of contact for new leads
- Help them understand the value FreightSimple provides
- Convert leads into customers, and nurture them from first shipment to regular shipper
Grow existing customers 📈
- Check in regularly to make sure we’re meeting their needs and growing the relationship
- Identify and solve problems
- Advocate for customers with our support, operations, and technical teams
🎯 What we’re looking for
- 📞 Proven sales experience, ideally over the phone
- 🏆 The ability to convert leads into customers, this is fundamental to the role
- ✍️ Excellent written and verbal English
- 🧩 Strong problem-solving and confidence in challenging situations
- ❤️ High emotional intelligence, genuine curiosity about people, and a desire to help
